// “Cornelius handles heaviness with an enviable lightness, finding new resiliency in every rebound. She’s funny, self-effacing, and honest.” – Pitchfork (7.6) // "The sophomore album from LA-based, New Zealand-raised Jess Cornelius is a stunning display of expressive indie rock with stunning crescendos and dynamic, layered instrumentation with guitars, keys, sax, synths and drums. At moments evoking maximalist pop from the 60s and 70s and consistently running high on emotion, CARE/TAKING sees this former frontwoman of Teeth & Tongue standing confidently in her role as a solo artist.” –KEXP

Hi, new song.

Body Memory (Peach Fuzz Version is a re-imagining of the third track on 2020’s ‘Distance’ album.

“The newly re-drafted 'Body Memory (Peach Fuzz Version)' is a dreamy, somnambulist cut, something that emerged from her own whims, and explorative urges.” - CLASH (UK)

“My partner and I filmed the video in the Sequoia National Forest in California. I had the idea for the visual for a while – this hyper-artificial neon outfit against a lush forest backdrop. But when we got out to the forest, about half of the trees were dead – killed off by drought and bark beetles exacerbated by rising temperatures. The video inadvertently became a sort of environmental lament – about a different kind of loss and love." - Jess

No Difference

“’No Difference’ marks the singer's literal and figurative entrance onto the U.S. stage. Last fall, she picked up roots and settled in Los Angeles— a logical incubator for the questions of womanhood, ageing and vanity that Cornelius seeks to answer.” – NPR All Songs Considered
